Woodland Hills began to take shape in the 1920s when developer Victor Girard Kleinberger purchased thousands of acres and planted over 100,000 trees to create a lush, livable environment. Originally called Girard, the community was renamed Woodland Hills in 1945. Since then, it has grown into a dynamic residential area while preserving its natural beauty and neighborhood charm.

The Rise of Warner Center

A major part of Woodland Hills’ modern identity is Warner Center—a master-planned commercial and residential hub that transformed the area into a true live-work-play destination. Originally developed on land owned by Warner Bros. Home of the Los Angeles Rams

In 2023, the Los Angeles Rams began establishing their new permanent headquarters and training facility in Woodland Hills. Located at the intersection of Oxnard Street and Canoga Avenue, this state-of-the-art complex includes two full-sized grass practice fields and is part of a larger 52-acre development known as Rams Village at Warner Center. The facility officially opened for team activities in August 2024, marking a significant milestone for both the franchise and the community.
